Corporate executive Kahina Van Dyke was born on December 7, 1971 in Albany, New York to Linda Muriel Champagne and Leon Van Dyke. She received her B.A. degree in political science and government from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the State University of New York at Albany in 1994.
Upon graduation, Van Dyke was hired as corporate membership manager for the Business Council of New York State, where she worked until 1997, when she was hired as senior merchandising manager and buyer at Time, Inc. in New York City. In 2000, she was hired as product development head and assistant vice president for eBusiness and innovation at Citibank in New York City. Van Dyke then was assigned to London, England in 2002 as product innovation and eBusiness lead to expand Citibank’s eBusiness in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She subsequently worked as a portfolio manager for Citibank’s German consumer business in Düsseldorf, Germany from 2002 until 2004, when she was appointed director for central Eastern Europe based in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2006, Van Dyke accepted the Madrid, Spain-based role of senior vice president for product management and business development for Citibank in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Following her nine-year tenure at Citibank, Van Dyke was hired by Mastercard in 2009 as global general manager and senior vice president for HSBC Global Accounts in London, where she rose to group head and senior vice president for global initiatives. She also led commercialization of emerging digital payment solutions. In 2016, she was hired as global director of financial services, global commerce, and payments at Facebook in Menlo Park, California, where she led partnerships between Facebook and Citibank, PayPal, Visa and Western Union, among others. Van Dyke was then hired in 2018 at Ripple, a blockchain-based startup payments company in San Francisco, as senior vice president of institutional markets, corporate, and business development. She returned to the banking industry in 2020 when she was appointed global head for digital channels and client data analytics for corporate, commercial, and institutional banking at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore.
Van Dyke has served on the board of directors of Progressive Insurance and the European advisory board of Mastercard and has been a board observer at MoneyGram International. She founded the Global Women Executive Leadership Council in 2008. Van Dyke is an active community member in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, where she serves on the board of directors of the Martha’s Vineyard Museum and operates an inn.
Van Dyke was listed number one on the list of Global Woman in Fintech by the Financial Technology Report in 2019.
Van Dyke lives in Singapore with her husband, Claudio Casarotti, and two children, Isabella and Oscar.
